“We will all experience pressures, and we will all experience stresses in our lives. And if you are not feeling well, if things are getting on top of you, there is absolutely no shame in sharing that.”

1. SADNESS

There are times when you feel low and sad if it happens for a temporary period then it’s fine but if the problem persists for more than 3 weeks it is a matter of concern in that case. Feeling of extreme sadness regularly indicates that the person may suffer from depression, bipolar disorder, etc. Hence you must check this in yourself or in others as well and if it is visible then in that case you must take steps to cure this problem or otherwise it may affect your personal life, career, studies, physical health and other areas of life.

2. FEELING OF FEAR

Feeling fearful always for no reason is also a matter of concern, in common life a person feels fear due to any situation but after the matter gets resolved he comes back to normal. But if you feel fearful on a regular basis then it is a matter of concern specially in cases of stress, depression and anxiety, feeling of fear is a big symptom. Therefore, you must take concern over this issue, look your fear and try to find out why it happens or does it happen frequently with reason or without any considerable reason, after that take steps to overcome it as soon as possible.

3. FEELING TIRED

When mental health is not good it does influence the physical health as well. One common sign of poor mental health is decrease in energy level where a person feels exhausted all over the day for no reason. Sometimes people don’t even want to get out of the bed and wants to lay down all over the day. Generally, it is mistaken that it happens due to any physical deficiency only but sometimes it happens due to poor mental health also. Thus, first check that are you having any major nutritional deficiency or any disease, if not then it can be a sign of declining mental health also.

4. DISTURBED SLEEP

Sleep is a very necessary thing for our body as well as mind to recover after all day work and pressure. As sleep is directly associated with body as well as mind thus while dealing with any medical issue sleep cycle is often disturbed. Specially in case of any mental health issue sleep cycle is disturbed therefore if you too face such issue then you must pay immediate attention to it. Disturbances in your sleep timings or not getting enough sleep for a long period of time may affect your overall health and lifestyle.

5. LACK OF CONCENTRATION

One of the common symptoms of any mental health issue is lack of concentration, it is when due to overthinking and excessive stress your brain finds it difficult to concentrate on any specific thing. Sometimes due to any reason it may happen that you find it difficult to concentrate on any work but if this problem persists always then it may be a signal of declining mental health, thus it needs immediate cure so that your studies, career and other things do not get affected.

All the above discussed signs if shown by a person continues for more than 3 weeks then in such case the person may need medical attention. If such symptoms are diagnosed at time and treated well either by self-help ways or any expert, then the chances of getting better of that person increases. On the other hand, if you do not pay attention to these signs then it may have drastic result in a long run. Mental health is an issue which should never be ignored, if a person has good mental health, then only, he can maintain better relationships, perfect body, fine career and social image. Therefore, one must look after the body as well as mind.
